Your shoulders respond to how you use your hands.

Every push, every pull, every transition begins there.

When the hands organise force well, the arms, shoulders, and spine follow.

This workshop shows how to rebuild that connection so strength becomes efficient, coordinated, and repeatable.

What You Will Learn

    •    How force travels from hands into arms, shoulders, and spine

    •    How wrist position shapes elbow path and shoulder function

    •    How to organise pushing and pulling mechanics with precision

    •    How to build strength without overload or compensation

    •    How to apply these changes directly into yoga practice

You will use movement as assessment and load as feedback.

Workshop Structure

Day 1 – Building the System

⭐Session 1 – Gym (2 hours)

Assessment + Pattern Development

    •    Map how force transfers from hands into the upper body

    •    Use pushing patterns to reveal inefficiencies

    •    Develop pulling mechanics through scapular control

    •    Build foundational strength with bilateral and unilateral work

Outcome:

You learn to organise the upper body under load with clarity.

⭐Session 2 – Yoga (90 mins)

Application

    •    Use weight bearing positions as real time feedback

    •    Refine alignment through hand pressure and shoulder organisation

    •    Improve transitions through better coordination

    •    Integrate into simple, repeatable sequences

Outcome:

You apply new mechanics directly into practice.

Day 2 – Expanding Capacity

⭐Session 1 – Gym (2 hours)

Progression + Strength

    •    Train scapular mechanics under load

    •    Build strength through full range

    •    Use progressive loading to refine asymmetry

    •    Develop more demanding pushing and pulling patterns

Outcome:

You build strength that holds under greater demand.

⭐Session 2 – Yoga (90 mins)

Integration + Performance

    •    Use arm balances to test coordination and force transfer

    •    Maintain structure through longer sequences

    •    Integrate strength into fluid movement

Outcome:

You move with greater control, efficiency, and confidence.

Who This Is For

    •    Yoga teachers who want precise, effective cueing

    •    Movement practitioners who want stronger, more coordinated upper body function

    •    Coaches and therapists who use movement as a tool for change

    •    Anyone working with recurring shoulder, wrist, or upper body tension

What You Will Gain

    •    Clear understanding of how strength develops through the upper body

    •    Improved coordination between hands, arms, and spine

    •    Stronger pushing and pulling mechanics

    •    Practical tools you can apply immediately

Why This Matters

Many people train the shoulders in isolation.

Real strength comes from how force moves through the system.

When the hands lead well, the shoulders follow with clarity.
